It all started bright and early on a Thursday morning at 7:15. I slowly got up and braced myself for a long, but fun day. I searched through my closet for my dress clothes and packed the other things I needed. At 7:30, I was by the bus helping the coaches pack everything they needed. After breakfast we got on the bus and we began to head out to South Bend. I was told to guard the backpack with the video camera and laptop with my life, and that is just what I did.

It was not a bad bus ride, juts two hours plus a time change, so we arrived at my most-hated place at 11:15. We got off the bus at the hotel we were staying at for the day and had Jimmy John's waiting for us. I brought in the Gatorade from the bus along with the backpack and my own bag. There was not much time for me to eat or relax though because we had to change into our shoot around gear and leave for shoot around. I managed to eat half my sub and my cookie on the bus.

We arrived on the Notre Dame campus, and I was fairly disappointed with it. When we walked into the Joyce Center, I was surprised to realize how small it was. It looks a lot bigger on T.V. My first job was to find out which side our bench was on and if we could have an extra seat. Well, the man I asked told me the wrong side, which I would not find out until game time. Then I went on a search to see where I would be filming the game at. This time it was a different guy that I asked, but got the same result, false information. He did lead me to the right area, but not to the right spot. Ah, good old Notre Dame! Soon after we were back on the bus, but not after I got to take several shots in the Joyce Center!

Our bus trip was short though as we stopped to take a tour of Notre Dame Stadium. We walked around the tunnel, which reminded me of the movie Rudy. Then we got to go on the field! Despite my hate for Notre Dame, it was a great site. The thing I was most amazed with was realizing how hard it is to take the goalposts down! Before we left we took a team picture in front of the one and only Touchdown Jesus.
