A recent survey conducted at universities across the nation revealed student satisfaction at Lewis is quite high. The study, entitled the Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory, was administered in the spring semester to 251 Lewis students, to analyze student opinions on the importance and satisfaction of campus services.
Most of the services ranked high in both importance and satisfaction, with academic advising and instructional effectiveness ranked the highest.
Safety and security was ranked high with importance, but low in satisfaction. Officials say the reason it was so low was because there were questions in that section about parking that dragged the overall satisfaction numbers down.
The only true outlier on the survey was campus life, which ranked the lowest in both satisfaction and importance. Even though the numbers for campus life are much lower than the other categories in the survey, they are still higher than the national and midwestern averages.
