Once again, everyone is overblowing ONE game. All the
talk is about how bad
the Jets, Broncos and
Vikings are. Chances
are all three will come
back with a win, and
leave all "experts"
looking stupid.
I wish I was a bigtime
college athlete,
then I could steal some
school computers and
only get probation like
UCONN point guard
Marcus Williams.
The NHL is back after the one-year
lockout. Now the re-runs of the World
Series of Poker has some competition!
At one time the White Sox had a 16-
game lead in their division and has since
shrunk to six. All the bandwagon jumpers
are haniging by an axel.
Kobe Bryant donated $100,000 to
the Hurricane relief effort. In other words,
about a fraction of the profi ts he would have
made from his cancelled endorsements.
Oh by the way, if you like
sightseeing on campus, come to the Student
Union where T.O. will be doing his eight minute abs exercise
Koren Robinson and David Terell both have been signed, released, and signed in the span of a few days by the same team for cap reasons. I wonder if the Vikings andBroncos management are under the same
infl uences that Robinson and Terrell are.
Tragedies such as Hurrican Katrina
show just how mentally tough the players
really are by being able to put something so
harsh behind them and play a great game.
Great job New Orleans
and LSU!
The Bears once again
have no offense to help out
their solid defense. What
does this mean? Another
year of boring 10-7 noon
games on FOX.
The Cubs have once
again faded away down the
stretch, but not after giving
their fans hope after taking
three out of four from the
Cardinals. Wait till next
year Cubs fans!
The Notre Dame
bandwagon is in full
swing, thanks to the luck
of the Irish fumble on the one-yard line on
a quarterback sneak. However, there are
still many bumps in the road, starting with
Michigan State this weekend.
