With the school year in full swing and students back to class, Student Leadership and Involvement has been busy fulfilling the needs of keeping students entertained with fun activities all around the Lewis campus.
One activity to look forward to is the Lewis University Fall Formal.
This semester, Student Governing Board presents "Fly Me to the Moon," hosted in the Harold White Aviation Hanger. The formal is scheduled to take place from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sept. 24.
The festive event will allow students from all classes to come out and have a good time while meeting new people and dancing the night away.
"Fall formal is a time for all students to take a break from studying to meet new people, having fun, and letting your hair down for a night," said Demairus Coburn-Moaton, Student Governing Board president. "We encourage students to purchase tickets because they are selling fast."
Funky posters have been posted all over dormitories to notify students of the event, as well as to help remember the date.
Promotions for the event also found many departments and some students with small golf Frisbee discs to play with even after the event takes place later this month.
If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets, they will be sold during the lunch and dinner hours in the newly renovated cafeteria. Ticket prices are $18.00 per individual and $32.00 per couple.
Tickets can also be purchased in the Student Governing Board Office, which is housed on the second floor of the Student Union Building.
If you have any further questions, call the Student Governing Board Office at 815-836-5706.
