Because of a lack of letters to the editor, in this issue of the paper, I, Donald Woodard, have decided to do something different. I am going to write a letter to myself. I will continue to do so until some more letters to the editor come in. We, the Flyer newspaper, serve as the voice of the student population. We cannot perform this function if you, the student population, do not get involved.

Dear editor,

I am a print journalism major here at Lewis University. I would first like to congratulate you and the rest of the Flyer staff on your recent success at the ICPA Awards. I know that you all maybe underappreciated by most of the Lewis community but not by me.

Second, I would like to ask you a serious question. How did you become such a great writer? Were you born with it naturally or was it something you had to work at. You must be the most brilliant person in the world. You are a true role model for all at Lewis University. You must thank God every night for those great hands that genius flows out of every two weeks.

Sincerely, Yourself

I would first like to thank for your support of the newspaper. We do work very hard and hope that readers of the Flyer like you keep supporting us and sending us your kind letters.

Second, yes to both of your questions. My writing ability is a gift from God but it is also something that I have worked on for a large part of my life. Your words have been very kind and have warmed my heart. You sir are a gentlemen and a scholar.
