"In good times, we reproduce. In bad times, we don't." This quote, from a recent Associated Press article, sums up new findings of a record-setting number of births that took place in the U.S. during 2007, even exceeding the post World War II baby boom. These babies were mostly conceived in 2006, when times were "good.
Thirty-one years ago, two families decided that they wanted to show off their Irish heritage by throwing a little parade on the southside of Chicago. Well, that little get together on St. Patrick's Day has turned into a 300,000 person spectacle of wayward drunken shenanigansis.
Sometimes, a dream might make sense. For all of you sports lovers out there, I recommend Peter Morris's "But Didn't We Have Fun?" This book tells the story of baseball from its conception: the toil involved in even putting a baseball together or the pride of belonging to a baseball club.
No team wants to enter its conference tournament without some sort of momentum heading in. After suffering a five set loss to No. 15 Loyola on April 15, the No. 12 Lewis men's volleyball team regained their winning mentality and secured a first round bye in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament with a victory over IPFW on Senior Day (30-26, 30-24, 30-24).

On Monday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. Charles Darwin made an appearance at Lewis University to commemorate his 200th birthday, which had passed in February. Of course, that person was not actually Charles Darwin, but was instead full-time storyteller Brian "Fox" Ellis of Fox Tales International.
The human being is a creature of habits. And no matter what, it is hard for us to break out of that simple routine of the everyday. We are creatures of repetition; governed by the simple formulas that fill our day to day. Wake up, go to practice, breakfast, then class, take a nap, get some lunch, go to class, go to class, go to practice, get food, hang out, get food, do homework, go to sleep and do it all again.
Spending a night at a bar with friends can help to maintain social skills, but is spending the night drinking beneficial to one's health? A recent Japanese study found that moderate to light alcohol consumption along with high levels of social support was linked to lowering the rates of heart disease and stroke.

It's full of flashbacks, old faces, new puns, dynamic storytelling and the subtle "office" creativity that makes this show the best show in the history of television.

Now, add a Hollywood setting, a rambunctious pig-tailed girl and her highly opinionated grandmother, and you've got "Hollywood Arms" written by Carrie Hamilton and Carol Burnett.
It seems like only yesterday when the Chicago Bulls were among the worst teams in the league. On Feb. 18th all that changed. On this date, the Bulls sent Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden, Michael Ruffin and Cedric Simmons to the Sacramento Kings for Brad Miller and John Salmons.
